A Love Story...

I am sad to find out that Mr. Hoffman from Tarpon UMC has gone to be with the Lord. Not sad for him but sad for his family and our church family. He will be missed. His sweet wife appears to be also close to going to her heavenly home to join her husband. Although we only knew them for a little over a year, their love for each other as well their Lord was evident. Their faithfulness to attend worship was astounding. Even more so, they not only "talked the talk" but certainly "walked the walk."

I will never forget Mrs. Hoffman teasing Henry about his curls and how cute they were. Yes, you read it right. I said curls. Upon moving to Tarpon it took Henry a while to get into his routine for getting his hair cut and it would curl in the back when it got a certain length. Mrs. Jane made a memory for us when she called me over to her as she stood with Henry in order to point out those "cute curls". Both Ed and Jane had wonderful smiles and I look forward to the day when we will see them again.

In the meantime, will you please pray for the Hoffman family as they grieve the loss of their father and continue to stand vigil at the side of their mother.
