Busy Week

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to post an update for my dad. He actually went in to have the procedure and was asked by the doctor if he was in pain. He replied that he wasn't at the time...he had been in pain a couple of weeks before when the MRI was ordered but the pain was not there now. The doc said he would recommend waiting until he was in pain so daddy went home with nothing done. He continues to be very, very weak but he's holding off on the "cement" procedure.

Work has been very busy. I'm in the season of recruiting at local high schools for dual enrollment for next year. I love being in the high schools but that means I'm not at my schools so work backs up. That part's not fun.

We attended the wedding of Laisha and Josh (from Tarpon) last night. It was wonderful to see them finally walk down the aisle and become husband and wife. It was equally fun to see some of our FUMC Tarpon Springs family. Today we visited with John and Mary Lou Hires in Largo. John was the senior pastor at Anona UMC when Henry was associate pastor. Our children were born in Largo and John and Mary Lou were like second parents to us during that time. They have remained very special to us throughout the years and it was wonderful to catch up with them today.

Tonight we are keeping Kaleb for an overnighter. He is a doll...growing up so quickly. We look forward to waffles in the morning with him before Keith and Heather pick him up to head to church and we head to ours. Sundays are always special but even more so tomorrow with a Monday off for President's day. :)

Enjoy this beautiful weekend.
