Trip success!

Thank you for your prayers because our trip was fabulous! Two days, fourteen-fifteen hours of driving, less than two hours of sleep for Kaleb in the car TOTAL, and things couldn't have gone any better. We enjoyed our time with Henry's mom and made it back safely. Kaleb was wonderful, loved all the animals, and basically charmed his great-grandmother...naturally.

South Carolina was a new experience for Kaleb. Henry's mom is an animal lover and has always had dogs, cats, and horses as long as I have known her. She even had a petting zoo for several years at one point! Although she has lots of cats and a great dog, Julie, she now has only one horse, Shiloh, and he was great with Kaleb. I've included a few pictures from the trip. It seems like only yesterday that my kids were riding "Billy Bob" with Henry leading with the reins. They were bouncing along on top just like Kaleb did on this trip. My, how time flies. The difference? There was another mommy keeping a close eye on this horse ride! Heather was great, though, and didn't hover too much. For some reason, she trusts her daddy! :)

We have enjoyed a little time off with this week being Spring Break and are catching up on some of the "to do" list that has been waiting until we had the time. Honestly, it's been nice to just wake up without an alarm. The week is speeding by quickly so we will appreciate it while we have it.

Just wanted to say thanks for the prayers for safe travel. We are grateful!
