Death: Unless you have your head in a hole somewhere, you have heard of the deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. I've been weirded out a little (or at the very least, puzzled and saddened) by some of the responses of Christians, especially to the death of MJ, I have seen on facebook as well as other internet blogging sites.
One of my favorite resources for when I was doing youth work was CPYU (Center for Parent-Youth Understanding). Walt Mueller has put together a huge network of resources to help parents understand the culture of youth today. One of the biggest reasons I think this site is so awesome is because of their immediate response to anything that impacts the lives of kids and the help they offer of insight, Christian responses, etc. These deaths prompted nothing less.

Prayer request: Please pray for our house buying venture. Pray that answers will come swiftly and surely and that we will be able to clearly discern where God is directing. I thank you in advance for doing that.
