Chad's birthday and Daddy update

Chad turned 28 on Saturday! We celebrated with chicken phillies and family fun. Then Danielle took him to nice restaurant for dinner. When Chad turned one, I had written a letter to him and sealed it so, finally, on this birthday I got out the baby book and found it in the back. Chad read it and it was really cool to hear my dreams and thoughts to him from way back when. Then I found one I wrote on his second and fourth birthday. The characteristics that I saw in him then are things he continues to have today...a gentle spirit and a love for music. We are amazing creatures made by a glorious God. I'm thankful for my boy.

My dad continues his battle with fatigue as he undergoes his chemo treatments. He is on meds for the blood clot and is watched constantly by a myriad of doctors. He was able to go vote today, just by sheer will, but mostly he is in his chair under a blanket. A constant low-grade fever is with him quite often as well.
During this, they continue to care for my niece'e 2 and 5 year old, as well as my sister's 16 year old son that they have had custody of for a long time. Don't even get me started on how much I hate drugs and what the consequences are for those around drug addict famiy members. I continue to pray for a breakthrough with my sister, niece and nephew.

I'm hoping to post a couple of Kaleb pics soon. He is growing up so fast and looks like a little boy now. Too, too cute.

Make it a great day!
