Health Issues...family and friends

My parents were here this past weekend. It was wonderful to have them all to ourselves. The day was beautiful on Saturday and we sat outside for a lot of the day. Heather and Keith came over and, of course, Kaleb and they seemed to enjoy every minute of him. (Duh!)

My dad's cancer is active again so they are in the middle of finding out what that means. Tomorrow (Wednesday) they will get a report about the next phase of treatment. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the group of doctors working with him and I pray for strength and assertiveness for my parents to have the courage to be proactive with everything. My dad has a hard time hearing and doesn't always speak up to get clarification on what he is being told. My mom is not always with him at appointments so I just have to pray them through some times! :)

For our Tarpon family, we have a friend in Apopka who has been battling brain cancer for several years. He and his wife found out today that the cancer is growing again aggressively. Will you please pray for Russ and Darlene? Darlene, as the caregiver and wife of this sweet man, is exhausted and needs to be strong through this next phase in order to do the same thing as my parents...be proactive and have discernment and wisdom about what to do. They also have children who need to be lifted up during this time as well. I thank you now for your prayers.

Angie continues therapy on her knee but please continue to pray for her as well. She has to get it to a certain point before they can do the next surgery. Her ski accident happened eight weeks ago so she is ready to get on with the next phase but is learning that patience is a virtue! :)

Have a blessed rest of the week and hug your family often.
