Weekend with Kaleb

We are so looking forward to a weekend with Kaleb. Heather and Keith are celebrating Keith's birthday and we get to babysit! It all starts early in the morning and we are very excited. I'm sure I'll get a picture or two to share! :)

I want to share with you about a really cool thing Riley Sanders is doing. For our Tarpon friends, Riley is going into the 7th grade and has felt the urge to do a backpack ministry for the past couple of years. I'm not sure where the idea germinated but I do know that she was in Tarpon for Operation Backpack our first summer at FUMC TS. Riley's vision, however, was to provide backpacks for middle and high schoolers since most backpack ministries seems to focus on elementary aged kids. This year, with her parents and people who have donated to her cause, her dream is becoming reality. Riley has also worked on her own to earn money she has invested into the ministry. "We've Got Your Back" ministry was born. Backpacks have been purchased and now they are working on filling them with school supplies appropriate for middle and high schoolers.
